About ECPL

The Energy Catalysis & Process Laboratory (ECPL) was established at the Department of Future Energy Convergence, Seoul National University of Science and Technology in 2022
After Dr. Dohyung Kang relocated to Seoul National University of Science and Technology, the ECPL has broadened its scope to encompass green energy engineering. Our research focuses on heterogeneous catalysis, reaction engineering, and process design, with the overarching aim of advancing technologies for environmentally friendly energy production/storage/utilization, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Specifically, we are dedicated to developing novel heterogeneous catalysts and energy-efficient processes for CO2-free hydrogen production. Furthermore, our research interests have expanded to include environmental catalysis, with a focus on mitigating air pollution and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. Our investigations span from acquiring fundamental insights into catalytic reactions and materials to the development of practical catalytic processes.
The ECPL always welcome open-minded, creative young scientists and engineers to join our lab. Those who are interested in our research fields please, please contact with Dr. Kang (dkang@seoultech.ac.kr) or any of us.
